Give a Garden is a collaboration of many of New Zealand’s leading garden retailers. By offering a widely redeemed and recognized nationwide gardener’s gift card the receiver is not limited to a particular store or chain.
When you purchase a Give a Garden gift card your money is held in a secure trust which can only be used to reimburse redemptions (when your gift card is spent at a participating retailer). Gift Station who look after the trust account are a global specialist in managing gift card schemes
At any of the garden retailers listed on this website on the STORES page. You can search for your local participating retailers here with our friendly map locator. Our retailers include Mitre10, Palmers, Kings, Nichols, and many independent garden centres.
If you only spend some of your balance the store will write the remaining value on the back of the card, and you can spend this at a later date as long as you are still within 24 months of the cards purchase date (ie the card has not expired)
No cash will be given on the Give a Garden gift cards and you cannot exchange this gift card for a different type of card
You have 24 months from the date of purchase of the card. The issue date is stated on the back of the card
The ‘CHECK BALANCE’ page on this website links to Gift Station where you can enter the card number and check the balance. Alternatively visit our participating retailers and they should be able to check the card for you.
Please keep your card in a safe place and treat it as cash. Your card cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Present the card at check-out with your purchase and the store attendant will process the gift card through the Eftpos terminal. The store attendant will either confirm you’ve used the entire balance or let you know how much is remaining on your card and will write the remaining balance on the back.
Generally 2-3 working days but sometimes longer for rural delivery. Gift Station will advise when your Give a Garden gift card has been dispatched.
